New Student Application Process
Gather Required Documents
Before a student’s application is reviewed, the following documents must be submitted:
- Enrollment Application
- Long Form Birth Certificate
- Court documents proving legal guardianship, if applicable
- Proof of Residence (e.g. current utility bill, lease, etc. showing physical address) – Accepted Proofs of Residency
- Current report card from prior school (excluding Kindergarten for 1st-semester enrollment only)
- Homeschooled Students Only – Proof of Affiliation with an Approved Homeschool Association
- Current transcript for high school students showing Carnegie units earned (and for middle school students who have taken high school courses for credit)
- Student/Parent Contract
- Release of Records
Additional documents may be needed, such as:
- Special education forms and plans (IEP, 504, etc.)
Upon acceptance of enrollment, students must submit the following documents:
- Immunizations (contact SC Dept. of Health regarding waiver information) on the South Carolina form
- Home Language Survey
Complete the Pre-Application Form
- When enrollment reopens, you can click the link below to be taken to the pre-application form. On this page, you will need to first create an enrollment portal account. This account should be created by the student’s legal guardian. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete this form and enter the required information for your student. You will be able to add additional students later in the process. NOTE: When you get to the School Selection screen, be sure to select South Carolina Virtual Charter School. Selecting any other school will not allow us to view your application.
***Applications for Spring Enrollment are now closed. Enrollment for Fall 2023 will open in March.***
Complete the Registration Form
- Within 24 – 48 business hours (excluding evenings and holidays), you will receive an email from SCVCS Enrollment with the link to the Registration Form. This is the full application form that you will need to complete for your child to be considered for enrollment. If you do not receive the email in 24 – 48 hours, please check your junk or spam email folder. Please note that completing this form is not a guarantee of enrollment.
